La mer Mediterranee

Aix-en-Provence is the door to the sea...

The city is located at 25 km from the Mediterranee. It is easy from the studio to access the Parc National des Calanques or the Parc Naturel Regional de Camargue.

Les calanques :

Magnificent rocky scenery or landscape with cliffs and small beaches adjoining the Mediterranee with its sky-blue waters.  At Marseille's maritime junction, the islands of Frioul and the Chateau d'If offer their mysterious desertlike views to the lovers of la "Grande bleue".

Le Parc National des Calanques : Between Marseille et Cassis, La Grande bleue offers us magnificent sights of the cliffs and the "calanques"  where the walkers and the climbers can increase their great desire of natural beauty. Whether you are in Marseille or Cassis, you can  enjoy these magnificent sights from the car. Organized sea trips are also available from Marseille and from Cassis.

La Côte d'Azur :

Nice and its Promenade des Anglais are less than two hours away on the highway, as well as Monaco, Menton , Cannes and its Croisette and Saint Tropez also. You will cross the Massif des Maures and de l'Esterel with its beautiful red rocks announcing the Cote d'Azur. On the sea, les iles d'Or, de Porquerolles, de Port-Cros et du Levant offer the travellers a paradise without a car but accessible by boat.

Organized shuttles leaving d'Hyeres.

The Natural Regional Park of Camargue :

Located on the border of the Mediterranee, in the Rhone delta, la Camargue is surrounded by Port-Saint-Louis du Rhone, Les-Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer and the city of Arles which has a very important  historical heritage. In Camargue, you shall admire lots of migratory or semi-sedentary birds, such as the pink flamingo. The horses from Camargue and the bulls raised in humid surroundings contribute to the beauty of these wild scenes. The rice of Camargue and the salt produce a good income for the Natural  Regional  Park of Camargue.
