The festivals

 

The international  festival  of lyric art in Aix-en-Provence :

Aix -en-Provence,  city of culture and leisure, will welcome you  in July, with its international lyric art festival. In the center of this city, the Aix festival will present the following on a stage with perfect acoustics,  in the Theatre de l'Archeveche : Rigoletto de Verdi, Don Giovanni de Mozart, Elektra de Strauss, Elena de Cavali and a worldly creation.

Numerous concerts, dance  spectacles and exhibits will satisfy everyone at the Grand Theatre de Provence.

 

Festival de la Roque d'Antheron :

Since longer than a quarter century, the International Piano Festival of La Roque d'Antheron has had enormous success. There are a lot of concerts but the one in the Parc du Chateau de Florans, with perfect acoustics, allows you to appreciate classical music as well as contemporary music, jazz, or even electronic music.

From the studio it is easy to get to evening concerts and Piano nights in the park of the Chateau de Florans with the shuttle leaving from la Place de la Rotonde.

Be sure to visit l'abbaye cistercienne de Silvacane (which was built in the beginning of the XII century) - It is known for its architecture which is sober and perfect. The abbaye is not far from La Roque d'Antheron.

 

The  International  Picasso-Cezanne Exhibition :

The International Picasso-Cezanne exhibition will be held from May 25 to September 27, 2013,  at the Musee Granet, Cours Mirabeau

 

Baroque Music :

As in  "Fetes d'Orphee"  Aix en Baroque invites you in July to discover baroque music.

 

Le festival international des nuits pianistiques :

The International Festival  "Les nuits pianistiques"  offers numerous piano concerts and piano recitals in Aix-en-Provence and  in the  whole Community of Pays d'Aix,  from October to December.
